Turquoise Skull Necklace by Spktastic
Turquoise Skull Necklace
Made this necklace to match my horn and turquoise swirls, I did not make the swirls. Now the necklace I I put together. The beads are mostly turquoise colored howlite, black glass beads, silver plated skull and flower spacers.
Elder Sign by Spktastic
Elder Sign
The "Elder Sign". Here I went with (my preferred one) the design hand dawned by Lovercraft, himself, in a letter to Clark Ashton Smith. I know of the more popular August Derleth design, but....I got to go with the Master's true design. Now not to argue on what's right or wrong, I actually feel that any design is equally valid. To me, the design itself probably has no value. I suspect that in the case of the Elder sign, it has more to do with the material of the item. A "Superman vs. Kryptonite" kinda deal.

This was me messing around. Air dry clay, mod podge, glitter glue and a metallic copper sharpie.
Elder Sign (old photo) by Spktastic
Elder Sign (old photo)
In the weeks of organizing the paperwork of my grandfather, I came across this photo of what I will call a "runic charm". I found related notes and scribbles, but all these were wholly incohesive detail to me. I took the old photo to my buddy, Professor Rodrígo DeLébron, where I was told what this image represented. The Elder Sign, a seal of protection...but...not necessarily a item with "good" or "holy" origins.

So...the other day I'm pretty sure due to an extreme lack of sleep, I totally smashed and destroyed my all-in-one printer.Facepalm  I work at night and take care of my kids during the day while my wife is at work. The short story, I was trying to printer a simple document. My printer did not want to work with me. The paper didn't want to feed in right and when it did, half way through it decided I had to put in new ink cartridges. Then there was the paper issue again. I just wanted to print a simple stupid page. Also my kids, not at any fault, were wrestling for my attention. With all that I was frustrated and pissed, final I lost it.CURSE YOU!  And without thinking I just pounded my fists right down smack on the printer...more then once...repeatedly. I heard the sound of shattering glass and I thought, "Oh MOTHERF***ER!!!!".

So now I'm out a scanner and my wife is super pissed at me. Grump YAY!!!!!
